Name: Lam Tu

Title: Principal Software Developer

Describe your role: My main focus at Camber is to serve as an embedded resource on highly technical projects or to rescue and bring projects to completion. In addition, I mentor, knowledge-transfer, and get our customers’ developers ready to take over completed projects. I have participated in all aspects of software development at Camber, such as front-end, back-end, mobile, and Unity.

Where are you located? Boston, Massachusetts

Where did you study? I have an Associates Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Bunker Hill Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts (UMASS Amherst).

What do you like best about working at Camber? I love the people! In addition, I really like the flexibility that is part of Camber’s culture, and I enjoy the never-ending technical challenges that I have been presented with thus far.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself: I am an introvert and a terribly boring person in general unless it comes to work.

Favorite Camber moment: I really love the Camber crew. I love how the team shares interesting design articles with each other and advice in the #Design slack channel. I also love how open the team is to sharing useful feedback.

What are you passionate about? I love solving highly complex problems and challenging myself intellectually and technically.

What types of projects have you worked on while at Camber so far? In one of my recent projects, I architected a highly complex and secured restful API leveraging Azure AD, Sharepoint, Proxy Server on DMZ, and scalable Servers within their internal network. Additionally, I worked very closely with the folks at Advent Health, mentoring their developers to take over projects and IT resources to handle configuration and deployment on Azure environments.

What do you like to do for fun? I like to learn and program and build things outside of work. I also like doing yard work a lot. One of my favorite projects is to restore a dead lawn.
