Title: Director, Engineering

Describe your role: I’m the Director of Engineering at Camber Creative. My main role at the company is to provide engineering leadership. That entails setting standards and processes that our engineers follow, as well as providing architecture direction on projects. A typical day could entail estimating engineering work, staffing and coaching the engineering team, turning obscure requests into technical requirements, coding for high profile projects, and everything in between.

Where are you located? Orlando, FL

Where did you study? I’ve been lucky enough to gain 15+ years of invaluable engineering leadership experience, but am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science at The University of Central Florida. Go Knights!

What do you like best about working at Camber? What I like best about the work I do at Camber is providing engineering leadership. I enjoy working with the talented team that we have built over the past few years.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself: I like to take things apart and put them back together. (insert nerd emoji)

Favorite Camber moment: My favorite Camber moment to date is when we had a Christmas party and all got together in 2019. As a remote organization, it was fun to meet everyone in person and hang out.

What are you passionate about? I’m passionate about technology and sports. I love building things and enjoy the process as much as the finished project.

What types of projects did you work on before finding Camber? I’m proud of building an online patient portal when I was working with AdventHealth (AH). I built out the SSO solution between the AH online patient portal and the EMR systems. I’m also proud of building out the first DevSecOps team at AH.

What do you like to do for fun? For fun outside of work, I spend time with my three beautiful daughters. I like to workout — I do CrossFit about 3–4 times per week. I also play sports, particularly flag football once a week.
